I am Elanor Hoskin and my professional background for the last 20 years has been in the third sector working with a number of charities at local, regional and national levels. My down to earth outlook and my ability to get straight to the root of the problem has meant that I have a good track record in working in a challenging environment, building solid foundations and delivering on outcomes.
I worked at a senior level in the third sector for over 11 years, firstly
heading up a Fundraising and Communications team for a national
charity where I led the team to achieve a step change in income growth
transforming the charity's ability to deliver. Latterly as Chief Executive
leading a charity in a challenging environment whilst ensuring services
levels were maintained and an ambitious capital appeal was successful.
During my time as Chief Executive I am proud to have gained national recognition at the Third Sector Awards winning rising Chief Executive (in 2013) for outstanding contribution to your organisation, or the wider sector, during your first two years in post. Read what the judges said here.
My roles at all levels of seniority have all involved the ability to understand quickly what needs to happen, put a plan in place and then take action to move the organisation forward. Whether it is establishing a new regional office in the South West, liaising with HMRC through a difficult Gift Aid audit or restructuring a charity my calm, honest and common sense approach makes a safe pair of hands.
I am a member of the Institute of Fundraising, have the Certificate in Fundraising Management and also sit on the Institute of Fundraising South West committee. I am also a member of the Atlantic and Moorland Local Action Group (AMLAG).
Based out of Cornwall, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children and dog. Other interests include surfing, growing vegetables and holistic therapies.
