Charities and not-for-profits are under ever increasing demand for funds to be spent effectively and for strategic aims to be achieved. The governance of third sector organisations is also under increased scrutiny and brings its own unique challenges and responsibilities.
Does your organisation have robust governance?
Can you demonstrate transparency in decision making and working practices?
Do you have strong internal controls and organisational policies on areas such as conflict of interests, gift acceptance and fundraising practices?
Are your finances resilient with diverse/secure funding streams?
Do you have safeguarding in place for volunteers and staff?
Are you using your resources effectively?
I offer a professional common-sense approach to small/medium sized charities and not for profits by undertaking an independent review and audit of governance, finance and resilience. With 18 years experience in the third sector coupled with a framework set out by the Charity Commission I am able to identify areas of risk and make recommendations for any action that may be required.
My approach is tailored to each individual organisation and the scope of work could vary from a specific review for an identified risk/issue through to a full review and audit of the governance, infrastructure and systems. I am also able to offer periodic reviews to ensure that organisations remain on track.
To arrange a free initial meeting with me to discuss your requirements please call or email so we can gain an understanding of the level of work that may be required. Work will be costed on a day rate or fixed fee basis mutually agreed in advance.
