About me

Supporting charities to grow

Having spent the last 20 years in the voluntary sector, I set up Elanor Hoskin Consulting in 2016 to provide bespoke support and consultancy.

Since then my business has grown and allowed me to help and support a number of charities in a variety of ways.

Down to earth and approachable, I am able to quickly and easily understand a charity's needs and work together a solution or support.

My Background

My Experience

I have a 20-year plus career in the voluntary sector and have worked in a range of strategic, supportive and fundraising roles and I am passionate about empowering charities and their leaders to grow and adapt.

My experience has predominantly been working at or for a range of small to medium sized charities (under £3 million income), many of them at the stage where they want to make a step change, are at a crisis point or are at the beginning of their fundraising journeys.

I have hands on experience of delivering fundraising, strategic and capital income growth and of leading a national charity as CEO through a period of change. A key strength lies in my ability to quickly identify the real issues or challenges and then implement practical solutions that will work and produce good results.

I have spent time on the Board of Trustees of a regional Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence charity in a voluntary capacity. I have gained the CIOF Certificate in Fundraising Management and I was an active member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising South West Committee for five years. I also sat on the Atlantic and Moorland Local Action Groups which is responsible for granting LEADER funding locally. I am a co-founder of the South West Fundraisers Forum which supports fundraisers across the UK to network and grow.

Outside of charity life, I enjoy spending time with my family and interests include cycling, surfing (badly), skiing (equally badly) and holistic therapies.

If you'd like me to bring my skills to help and your charity, then please do get in touch for a no obligation initial chat.
